NFFA-DI: A World-Class Research Infrastructure for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
As part of the activities of the NFFA project, the CNR-Institute of Nanotechnology organizes the online workshop: “Optical microscopy, electronics and scanning probe”, which will be held on November 6, 2024.
The workshop will provide a complete overview of key microscopy techniques for a wide audience, including the students.
The Nanoscience Foundries and Fine Analysis – Digital Infrastructure (NFFA-DI) project aims to establish a world-class research infrastructure in nanoscience and nanotechnology to bolster the competitiveness of Italian research. By integrating state-of-the-art nano-foundry labs capable of atomically precise growth and nano-structural analysis with advanced characterization tools, NFFA-DI enables precise material analysis and the development of nanosystems towards higher Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs).
This integration will significantly enhance the quality, reproducibility, and European Research Infrastructure alignment of Italian nanoscience research. NFFA-DI supports both fundamental and applied research, bridging the gap between quantum materials science and functional micro-systems to drive digital transformation. A unified digital access point provides a comprehensive suite of services, including cutting-edge experimental and computational facilities and FAIR data services, spanning the entire value chain from materials discovery to industrial technology transfer.
NFFA-DI is a distributed research infrastructure across Italy, funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
