I am a senior researcher at CNR-NANOTEC. After graduating in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies at the University of Modena, I got my PhD in Nanoscience at the National Nanotechnology Laboratory (N.N.L.) of the University of Salento (Italy) where I started working on nanomaterials and next-generation solar cells. During 2010-2016 I joined the Italian Institute of Technology, working on nanostructured semiconductors for photovoltaics. Since 2016 I have been a researcher at CNR NANOTEC.

I am author of 4 patents and more than 80 scientific papers that collectively have received more than 3000 citations, with an h-index of 33. I coordinate a research group of 5 PhD students and 1 post doc engaged in the development of nanomaterials and innovative devices. In 2022, I have been awarded the ERC Consolidator Grant project ‘Hynanostore’ for the development of sustainable batteries.

My scientific interests include the development of novel organic, inorganic and hybrid nanomaterials with tailored functional properties and the design, fabrication and characterisation of optoelectronic and electrochemical energy devices.
