From 6 to 19 September 2026, Lecce will host the fourth edition of the International School of the Italian Society of Statistical Physics (SIFS2026), an international event dedicated to training and scientific exchange among PhD students and young researchers.
Held at the Istituto del Buon Pastore in Lecce, the School offers an intensive programme of lectures and seminars covering key topics in contemporary statistical physics and its applications.
On 9 September, the School’s activities will take place at CNR-NANOTEC, creating an opportunity for participants to meet the Institute’s scientific community and fostering dialogue and knowledge exchange across different research fields.
The scientific programme is structured around five main thematic areas:
- BioPhysics and Active Matter
- Disordered and Complex Systems
- Dynamical Systems
- Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
- Quantum Physics
SIFS2026 represents an important opportunity to promote advanced training, interdisciplinarity, and scientific collaboration, strengthening dialogue between young researchers and the international scientific community.
